Following her attendance at our production of
South Pacific, the High Sheriff of Dyfed Mrs Claire Mansel Lewis
presented the Youth Opera with an award at the recent High Sheriff’s
Award Ceremony, Llandovery College. Her words, “We were truly thrilled
to have been able to attend, and would like to congratulate you all on
the very high standard of the production. I can only guess the amount
of work that is involved in something like this; not only was the
acting and singing of a very high standard, but the set and costumes
were amazingly good. We were also struck by the age range of the young
people involved and can see that this is a valuable resource for those
who want to make musical theatre their career, but it also gives young
people a focus and the opportunity to learn new disciplines and social
skills”
